Campaign Overview
#TheCapCares 2025
In 2025, we organized 11 volunteer events supporting 9 nonprofit partners across Westchester County through The Capitol Theatre’s #TheCapCares monthly initiative. 135 volunteers contributed 328 hours of service.
This year, we strategically aligned the majority of activations to support specific performances, creating stronger fan engagement while volunteers earned tickets to shows including Railroad Earth, Umphrey’s McGee, The Revivalists, Modest Mouse, Dark Star Orchestra, and the inaugural Hudson River Music Festival.
We kicked off the season with a sneaker drive during two Umphrey’s McGee shows benefiting The Sharing Shelf. Then, Railroad Earth fans received custom show-branded Tshirts & planted veggies and harvested seeds at Our New Way Garden, while volunteers throughout the year pruned trees and repaired tree tubes at Hilltop Hanover Farm, restored habitats at Lenoir Preserve Butterfly Garden, supported mental health by joining NAMIWalks, and cleaned up Croton Point Park ahead of the Hudson River Music Festival.
Additional efforts included sorting children’s clothing for The Sharing Shelf, building bunk beds in collaboration with The Revivalists’ RevCauses and Sleep in Heavenly Peace, constructing picnic tables with Modest Mouse fans thru Westchester Parks Foundation, and closing the year by sorting medical supplies at AFYA Foundation where lucky fans received tickets for Dark Star Orchestra’s New Year’s run.
Thanks to all our volunteers for turning concert energy into meaningful community action.
